The Guiltea Story

We would have preferred to come back with a simple message:

“Guiltea is back. 🍾”

But behind our absence over the past two years lies a story we have never really told you.

And today, if we want to write the next chapter, we need you.

Guiltea was born in Belgium from a simple idea: to create a new way to enjoy an aperitif.

Little by little, Guiltea grew.

Until one day, we received what should have been incredible news for a young brand like ours: an order of more than 10,000 bottles for Casino in France.

It was, by far, the biggest order in our history.

It should have taken us to the next level.

Instead, it almost became our last.

Casino then ran into the major financial difficulties that some of you may know about.

Our stock was returned to our production partner, and we were ultimately never paid by Casino.

Our producer, meanwhile, had manufactured more than 10,000 bottles for us.

And, of course, they needed to be paid.

What followed was more than two years of legal dispute, during which we could neither recover the stock nor sell it.

Guiltea was effectively brought to a standstill.

Two years without being able to truly move forward.

Two years waiting to find out whether this story would ever have a next chapter.

Today, that wait is over.

We have decided to come back.

But not as if nothing had happened.

We are coming back with a mission:

SAVE GUILTEA. ❤️

Today, we have 10,500 bottles.

And 45 days to raise exactly €67,538 to honour our debt to our producer and give Guiltea the chance to start again.

It won't be easy.

But for the first time in two years, Guiltea's future is back in our hands.

And perhaps, just a little, in yours too.
